Lemay Fire Protection District visited our ECC, presented safety information, and provided a tour around their fire truck! The littles were absolutely engaged! Thank you for your service in our district and community!

Hello Preschool Parents, our first Preschool & PAT Parent Advisory Committee meeting was a great success. We had 9 parents and 3 staff members in attendance to learn, discuss, and provide input regarding important agenda and non-agenda items. Our next meeting is scheduled for December 3, 2024, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the Boardroom at Central Office. We will have childcare during that time for children who are potty trained and behave well. I will send another message out in November requesting an RSVP. Thank you.
Hello Preschool Tiger Parents, this message includes pictures/attachments on our website Live Feed and Facebook pages regarding the Dental Safari opportunity for your child. The documents include a flyer, details page, and consent form. There are 2 different dates since we have classrooms at the ECC and ES, so please see the appropriate flyer and details page for the location of your child's class; ECC is October 29th and ES is November 14th.
Check out our hardworking, loving, caring ECC PRESCHOOL TEAM! Out in the rain a few times this week in our team raincoats and umbrellas bring in and taking out our precious littles from and to our wonderful parents. Feel free to love and rate us on Facebook, etc.! They deserve it for sure!
Reminder that our preschool and PAT families are invited to the Fall Fun Night group connection event this evening at the Early Childhood Center location from 6pm to 7pm. We will have the Kona Ice Truck on site to provide every attendee with a shaved ice treat! The playground will be open and children can play with chalk and bubbles too! Each attendee will receive a ticket for their free shaved ice treat to use as they exit the event. See you this evening!
Bob Contello, HPSD Maintenance Staff member, has been a great supporter of our preschool and PAT programs! He takes on the responsibility of picking up thousands of diapers during the year from the STL Diaper Bank for our PAT program's parents. Bob has also contributed time and gifts to our preschool program. See below from Ms. Trapf:
Good morning. I just wanted to say how much we appreciate Bob! The kids absolutely love the sandbox he made. He also bought my entire class sand buckets and shovels. Both of the preschool classes in the elementary and the SSD rooms use the sandbox in the garden. It is just truly amazing! I just wanted him and all of you to know how much we appreciate him!

Good morning, this message is for parents of children at the Early Childhood Center. Thank you for your patience this week with arrival and dismissal. We added a class that started Monday, so that added approximately 18 more cars to our drop off and pick up line. There have been some technology program glitches that are being worked out. It is our hope that those have been fixed and all will go more smoothly today and forward. We sure hope that your child is enjoying our program, learning, and making friends! Our staff works hard to meet your needs and expectations! Have a wonderful day!

Hello everyone! We added a class at the Early Childhood Center, and their first day is today! Please have patience in line as we come to your cars to unbuckle your children and bring them inside. I attached some important documents and there is a video link for drop off and pick up procedures on our website in the Live Feed and on our Facebook page if you scroll down to beginning of school year about 23 days ago. We will have an open house event for that class only on Tuesday evening from 4pm to 6pm. Parents of new class students, please pay your $30 registration fee and/or tuition at the Open House event tomorrow.
What a great opportunity for some of our community members and staff! It was a success as we reached our goal for number of patients! We are looking forward to setting it up again for next school year. As soon as a date is determined, we will be sure to share it! Thank you Kristi Rhoads, IFM Clinic Manager, for organizing this opportunity! Special thanks to Mercy and their staff as well!

Our early childhood program is outstanding! Enrollment continues to grow and exceed our expectations! We are hiring a teacher for a new classroom of students who are on our waiting list! This is a great opportunity to join Hancock Place! Apply today! #hpsdtigers
What a GREAT FIRST DAY! Attendance is SO IMPORTANT; 77 out of 80 full day students were present today! Wonderful job with arrival procedures this morning! Please be sure to stay at your car for dismissal and our staff will bring your child out to you. You must buckle your child into their car seat. We do our best to keep traffic moving safely and as quick as possible through efficiency. It is important that you show up on time. ECC will start dismissal from our entry doors at 3pm and the ES will start at 3:15pm in the back off of Horn Avenue. Remember, attendance is important, so please continue bringing your child to school every day; research overwhelmingly shows that students with excellent attendance achieve in school at higher rates than those who tend to miss school often. Hope your child has a lot of wonderful details to share with you about their first day!
As most of you know, we partner with IFM, Institute for Family Medicine, to provide an on site health clinic connected to our central office and preschool building. This message is for anyone interested in making an appointment for a Mammography Exam on Thursday, August 22, 2024, through the use of the Mercy Mammography Van, which will be parked on the Central Office parking lot, at 9417 South Broadway. Please see the attached flyers.
FIRST DAY EXCITEMENT! We can't wait to see our little learners and their parents this morning. As mentioned in my video and documents, please stay in your car and in your lane on the parking lot, and a staff member will come to your car to get your child out of your car and walk them in through the entrance to the preschool. REMEMBER, some children may cry, kick, and hit until they become more familiar with routine. Do not attempt to walk your child to the building from your car. If you are a walker, please line up to the sides of the entrance where our staff will walk your child in. Our goal is for arrival and dismissal to be safe, and for this to occur, we truly need you to commit to meeting our expectations. We must keep the lines moving safely so that we don't have traffic backing up out on to the roads. Remember that the ENTER ONLY to our parking lot is directly behind Seven 11, and the EXIT ONLY is out to Broadway. Please take your pictures in the car and from the car. Teachers will be taking pictures to share with you, including with an awesome prop! See you soon as we open the doors at 8am every morning!
EXCITING! Your child's first school day this year is Monday, August 19th! We can't wait! Please be sure to watch our YouTube Video for arrival and dismissal at the Early Childhood Center, and I also included two attachments with typed directions.

We are looking forward to the 2024-2025 school year! Hancock Place School District opens for students on Monday, August 19th. Students will be at the bus stops and walking to school. Use caution and help keep our students safe. #hpsdtigers
A reminder from @MoDOT_StLouis if you're driving on a two-lane connected roadway, you MUST STOP for school buses with flashing lights and an extended 'stop' sign. This is the law for traffic moving the same AND opposite directions of the bus. On roadways with four or more lanes, traffic flowing the same direction of the bus must stop. Traffic on the other side of the median or barrier should use caution.
