Hello Preschool Tiger Parents,
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to be involved in your child's education in which you can learn more about our preschool and Parents As Teachers programs as well as ask questions and share feedback! Our first of at least three Parent Advisory Committee meetings this school year is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7th, at 5:30pm. Meetings will end by no later than 7pm and childcare will be available for children who are potty trained and well behaved. Our agendas include but are not limited to: safety protocols and measures; academics; behavior; and social-emotional. I will send another email closer to the meeting date in which I will ask for an RSVP as well as if you plan to need the childcare option so that we can order the appropriate amount of snacks for children and adults.

Happy Friday! As you plan your calendars for this school year, please consider attending our OUTSTANDING group connections events in which our Parents As Teachers parent educators and Preschool teachers assist in organizing and attending! Please see the attachments for our first event coming this month and the list of them for the school year! Our events provide parents and their children various opportunities for interaction including but not limited to activities, crafts, games, music, treats, and so much more! Also, if you have littles from infant through pre-kindergarten, please consider enrolling/registering for Parents As Teachers at pat.hpsd.school.

Hope you had a fantastic Labor Day weekend! Reminder to please read our drop off and pick up procedures. It is very important to follow the directions to provide safe and efficient processes. A couple coming to mind are to use both lanes so that we can have as many cars possible to prevent or limit the number of cars backed up on Military Rd. We can permit you to move over before exiting to Broadway if necessary. Please stay in your car during drop off and stay at your car during drop off. If you are being motioned forward, pull all of the way up to the white stop line or behind the car in front of you.

Please see our Nurse Newsletter from Mrs. Shannon Williams! It is always great to see what is current as well as other helpful information. The newsletter is posted on our Facebook and website pages as well as emailed to you!

Hello Hancock Place Tiger Parents, please see our video regarding student personal communication devices being banned per Missouri Senate Bill 68. https://www.loom.com/share/f0fb81cf2fe44a64b9fe70c7d5ada723?sid=125862a5-7088-4d71-ac1d-f2c2e1aefe62

Hello Hancock Place Preschool Parents,
Please read through the following for important information!
-Classroom Supply list is attached to email as well as on our Facebook and Website pages
-Tax Free Weekend is August 1st - 3rd; details can be seen at this link,
https://dor.mo.gov/taxation/business/tax-types/sales-use/holidays/back-to-school/consumers.html
-Teachers are meeting August 1st to determine which classroom your child will be assigned; you will be contacted early the following week
-Open House is Thursday, August 14th, from 5pm to 7pm; children attending classrooms at the early childhood center will sign up using Signup Genius and those at the elementary school are able to arrive at any time in that span. It is best if you can bring your child's classroom supplies at that time.
-Please remember and you will be reminded that children will be walked into the buildings by staff starting on the first day of school. Again, it is best if classroom supplies are brought to Open House or at another time so the car line at drop off is moving efficiently.

If you have a child who will be the age of 3 on or before July 31, 2025, and not 5 years old yet, be sure to register them for our preschool program, free to residents and only $450 monthly for non-residents! If you have any questions, please contact our registrar at 314-544-1300, ext. 11070, or lvargas@hpsd.school! We also have low cost before and after care options at a low cost as well for most preschool students. Children are more likely to be prepared for Kindergarten and beyond if they have the opportunity to complete preschool! Feel free to share this with your friends who have children in this age group!

Tomorrow is the last day of school; remember that it is a half day, so students need to be picked up by 11:40pm. There will be no PM classes or aftercare. Our staff has a meeting after dismissal. The summer will most likely fly by, so please register your child for preschool next year or kindergarten as soon as possible. Most of you have completed this which guarantees your child a spot in the program; however, for those who have not, we will be actively advertising our program outside of the district through social media, signage, and word of mouth which will lead to many non-resident parents registering their children due to our very low tuition amount. Thank you for a wonderful school year!

The week begins with our earliest learners! Heading to kindergarten! #hpsdtigers
